About Suzie

How it all began…

Suzie Palmer began writing her life story and poetry in 1999 at 28 years of age. She was encouraged to write after a mystical encounter with a unique Indian sage. ‘You are a writer; you must write’ he told her You must write about your life – true truth – a story describing this is how I won this battle. People like reading about other people’s lives, and they’ll like reading about yours. You’ll also write poetry, teaching people how to be happy even if they can’t run and jump’. Suzie began writing with great enthusiasm and optimism, knowing that her Multiple Sclerosis (MS) condition was a ‘great blessing’, helping her to remember her life’s purpose. She also strongly believes her MS will heal naturally and she pursues this alternative avenue, documenting her healing ventures for the benefit of all.

Suzie’s writings and experiences come to life

In 2002, Suzie wrote her first children’s stories originally called the Come Fly With Me series and visited local primary schools between 2002 and 2006 to share them with Year 3 to 6 children. Suzie conducts motivational talks to high school students, presents to mature-aged students, and gives motivational talks to adults, to help lift them out of bouts of complacency.

In 2005, Suzie began prolifically writing poetry and has contributed poems and numerous print and online anthologies. She has also published three books of poetry: Loving All (2009)Prosperity Rat (2011), and Bright Blessings (2014), and has presented some of her work through public readings and musical performances.

2014 to 2015, alongside authors Dr. Joe Vitale and Loral Langemeier from The Secret, and bestselling authors such as Dr. Marilyn Joyce, Suzie wrote chapters in two books in the Adventures in Manifesting series: namely Health and Happiness, and Healing from Within. During this decade, she also wrote Forewords and Critical Literary Analyses for authors around the world.

Indian sage also told her: ‘nature wants you to do the great work’

As well as presenting her poetry, originally supported by Greg Cole on guitar and Mike Glover on drum, a collaboration they called, ‘Bright Blessings’, Suzie has become an activist.  Over the years, Suzie has passionately supported the environment. Her interests include the world at large, as well as her homeland of the beautiful Central Coast, where she grew up, and later has cherished as the healing sanctuary it is… However, Suzie is currently concerned about the direction the Central Coast has been heading, having recently (2023) been given the go-ahead to become a surveillance (not so smart) city. Fortunately, Suzie believes that freedom and sovereignty is our human right and that good will prevail. Suzie is a truth seeker and speaker, and continues to be an advocate in the community, inspiring the health of humanity and the environment.

Suzie sends messages of love to everyone. Inspired by the light of love in people’s eyes, she gives much of her time to people in need. To help make this world a better place is Suzie’s writing drive, and her work and life reflect this passion.
